Law enforcement professionals are put in situations that test their physical and mental capabilities. As a result, it's always imperative to put an emphasis on maintaining training compliance. Police Magazine reported that KDH Defense Systems recently sponsored the Southeastern Massachusetts METROLEC SWAT team in an upcoming Boston Strong First Responders Workout Marathon scheduled for the end of June.
The event is an opportunity for law enforcement officers to demonstrate their skills and physical endurance and intended as a fundraiser. According to the news source, proceeds from the event will be used to provide financial assistance to victims of the Boston Marathon bombing, including injured Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Officer Richard Donohue and the family of the late MIT Officer Sean Collier.
The workout is intended to demonstrate the need for constant physical exercise and training, especially in cases of large casualty situations like the bombing. The Workout Marathon will be held at the Gillette Stadium on June 22 and be led by professional fitness coaches.
