Bloomington, IN – February 22, 2007 – ENVISAGE Technologies, an industry visionary in homeland security human capital and training management technologies, announced today that the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) will implement the Acadis Readiness Suite using grant funding obtained from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The project is designed to allow IDHS to standardize the tracking of training, skills and certifications for all emergency response personnel across the State.

The Acadis training management system will be implemented at the IDHS headquarters in Indianapolis, IN during the first quarter of 2007 and will provide IDHS with the ability to track training across the State for fire, HAZMAT, emergency management, emergency medical, search and rescue, and other first responders. The intent of the project is to aggregate complete, accurate training and certification information, which can be used to better prepare the State for critical incident response by identifying existing skill gaps among first responders and enabling IDHS to quickly search for qualified personnel in the event of a crisis.

“We believe that the Acadis Readiness Suite is the perfect system for tracking our homeland security training programs and for identifying our assets for managing critical response,” said Joe Wainscott, Director of Training for IDHS. “We view this project as a way to prove concept, consolidate four disparate training systems into one, and finally to begin the analysis to merge our Acadis database with theIndianaLawEnforcementAcademy, thus creating one standardized data repository across the state. This should put us on the cutting edge of training management and data interoperability, as well as assist us in achieving NIMS compliance.”

The Acadis Readiness Suite is a comprehensive, modular software solution for workforce preparedness. It enables organizations to create a training system of record that tracks training, certifications/qualifications, and special skills. Designed with an XML architecture, Acadis is a powerful tool for coordinating first responder knowledge, skills, and abilities with the federal Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

“We envisioned creating one data repository to assist homeland security, law enforcement, and public safety organizations in gaining insight into critical first responder assets and to comply with legislative mandates,” statesCory Myers, Vice President of Homeland Security Solutions for ENVISAGE. “This project will lay the groundwork for effective statewide management of first responder information.”
