Bloomington, IN - August 29, 2006 - ENVISAGE Technologies launched the new delivery model for its highly acclaimed Acadis 4.0 Readiness Suite. This new turnkey hosted solution, Acadis OnlineTM, significantly reduces the cost of enterprise-class software for Law Enforcement Academies and First Responder Training Organizations.

The Jacksonville Sheriffs Office, in conjunction with the Northeast Florida Criminal Justice Training and Education Center (NFCJTEC), will be the first training organization to utilize the functionality of the Acadis 4.0 Readiness Suite via this new hosted solution. Acadis Online will enable NFCJTEC to manage student, officer and instructor information, curriculum, qualifications and certifications, learning objectives, exam questions, and optimize the scheduling of resources and instructors to meet the demand of their basic police and in-service training requirements across the Greater Northeast Florida area.

Commonly referred to as “Software as a Service” (SaaS), the hosted model significantly reduces the total cost of ownership by eliminating the need for expensive server hardware, operating systems, database licensure, and additional IT support, while providing the entire range of functionality provided by the Acadis Readiness Suite.

This will allow us to manage our part of the certification process in Florida and report necessary information to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement using the XML data format Acadis provides. Located in a secure network operations center at ENVISAGE headquarters, the Acadis Online service is supported by highly qualified Microsoft- and Oracle-certified staff. The service can be accessed securely by training organizations from any authorized PC running Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher and a secure internet connection.
