Bloomington, IN - September 11, 2003 - ENVISAGE, a Bloomington, Indiana based high technology firm has been tasked to provide the enterprise technology that will automate the new Customs and Border Protection Academy. As a division of the Department of Homeland Security, the CBP Academy was created by the merging of the Border Patrol, Immigration Officer and Customs Academies. The new CBP mega-academy will train tens of thousands of Border Protection agents stationed across the world.

The new Customs and Border Protection Academy will use an enhanced and customized version of ACMS, the Academy Class Management System originally created by ENVISAGE for the U.S. Border Patrol. Running on an Oracle™ database and accessed via a standard internet browser, ACMS has been the mainstay for the Border Patrol Academy for over 4 years and the Immigration Officer Academy for 2 years. The enhanced version of ACMS is scheduled for release in October of this year. ENVISAGE will additionally be responsible for migrating and merging legacy data from all three academies into the new enterprise platform.
