ENVISAGE Adds Housing Management to the AcadisTM Readiness Suite 4.0

Bloomington, IN – July 11, 2006 – ENVISAGE Technologies launched the Acadis Housing module, a much anticipated addition to its Readiness Suite for next generation blended training management solutions. Acadis Housing provides training organizations with a solution that is intuitive, easy-to-navigate, and provides powerful capabilities to streamline the housing management function, for both onsite and offsite accommodations. This functionality is designed to work in concert with the core scheduling and optimization capabilities of Acadis, allowing users to easily manage the training pipeline from registration through graduation. Intelligent dashboards augment the solution ensuring that third parties, such as housekeeping and maintenance service providers have access to timely resident information.

The Acadis Housing module revolutionizes the conventional management of housing as a one-off process, which often lacks enterprise visibility and meaningful integration with the training management system. Housing administration can now be optimized as a function of student throughput (and in the future as a function of cost reduction), while still adhering to any number of housing policies set by the training authority.

Designed around the needs of the Military, Law Enforcement, and Homeland Security, the Housing module uses an easy-to-navigate web interface to store building, floor, dorm room configurations (e.g., number of beds) and current status for each room. It allows user-customization for adding specific information about the customer facility and then, based on reservations and availability, automatically assigns students to rooms/beds based on dynamic business rules, ensuring optimal use of housing facilities during the provision of training for specified periods of time. The business rules include housing types, class proximity, same-sex room assignments, seniority rules, and cost rules. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and other special needs rules are also available.

“The continual demand for training throughput places a heavy burden on training organizations and their staff”, stated Ari Vidali, CEO of ENVISAGE. “Our solutions automate business processes such as billeting and housing management, to enable training organizations to achieve more with their already constrained resources. This new module will help organizations optimize housing operations resulting in more law enforcement officers, first responders, and warfighters trained within the confines of existing physical assets at the training organization.”

With the occupancy forecasting and capacity planning functions, staff may forecast classes for the future, based on the available housing, classes to be provided, and number of maximum students per class. These new integrated enterprise capabilities provide significant value in the planning and optimization of training operations.

“We find that all our customers with on-base housing are struggling to place students effectively in the beds they have available, while adhering to their business rules”, states Cory Myers, Vice President of Customer Solutions for ENVISAGE. “By linking the Housing management to the scheduled training curriculum, we can further assist our customers in maximizing their physical assets in the provision of training. This lessens the demand for budget, as the system will utilize the housing available before assigning off-site housing.”
