Project Description
ENVISAGE provides management consulting, systems development, implementation, and operations and maintenance support to the FPS Academy's successful installation of the Academy Class Management System (ACMS). This development support consultation relationship between the FPS Academy and ENVISAGE began in 2005.
Based on the success of ACMS at the ICE Academy and the need for ICE HQ to remove "stovepipes" of data and consolidate systems, FPS tasked ENVISAGE with the implementation of ACMS as their Academy's core information system.
ENVISAGE performed a Rapid Application Development plan to analyze the needs of FPS in relation to the construct of ACMS. A requirements analysis was completed to identify the unique elements and business needs of the FPS Academy and its staff. Modifications specific to the FPS Academy were made to the existing code and subsequently tested to ensure quality of the application. Sophisticated but flexible security was added to the existing shared-platform technology to allow the FPS Academy to access and modify their data only. Training was then provided to build the FPS curriculum models, import student and instructor information, and enter the FPS facilities used for training.
This project was successfully accomplished in less than three (3) months due to the expertise that ENVISAGE brought to the FPS Academy's development and implementation of the ACMS system.
ENVISAGE continues to support the FPS Academy as they build their training administration components into ACMS, fully utilize the functionality of the ACMS platform, and it is anticipated that FPS will distribute access to the system to their regional offices for distributed in-service training records management.
